01/06/2010 – ThetaOptions Margin Portfolio - Position CLOSED – Profit $200
We’ll that was quicker than we expected. Our combo order filled around noon today. So we booked a $200 profit in 24 hours!
Filled Order:
Buy To Close: (10) JAN10 UAUA 15 Covered PUT – 15.10 debit
Position:
Profit Calc:
- Opened Position for 15.30 credit
- Closed Position for 15.10 debit
- $15.30 -$15.10 = 0.20 * (10) contracts = $200 Profit in (1) day
Risk/Reward: $8000 starting margin / $200 Profit is only 2.5% return but if we multiple that by *360 (days) then we would have 900% annual return….too bad it’s not that easy!
